Two iconic prints, the city and the beaches, Italy and California: Octopus and Sundek come together for a capsule collection.
Sundek was born in 1958 on the West Coast of the United States, and immediately became a symbol of the emerging surf movement. But Sundek was also born again in Italy during the second half of the 1990s, when a new ownership relaunched the swimsuits with the three rainbow stripes on the back, which suddenly appeared on every beach in the country. In 2024, Octopus celebrates a key piece of the aesthetics of the past three decades, with a limited-edition collection designed and produced in collaboration with Sundek.
Octopus produced a hoodie and two T-shirts, featuring the iconic tentacular graphics embracing the classic hibiscus from Sundek's most famous floral print. Sundek produced a pair of classic board shorts, a beach towel, and a beach bag: all items are printed with Octopus tentacles and feature purplish rainbow details.
