Octopus IDOL by Matteo de Longis
Octopus celebrates the Japanese idol aesthetic with an Italian manga master.
Matteo De Longis is the Italian masters of Euromanga, and his artwork reaches a balance between East and West, with his work intertwining graphics, comics, and design. Over the past fifteen years he has worked with giants of international comics, from Marvel to Sergio Bonelli Editore, as well as created concept art for video games such as Overwatch 2 and League of Legends. Since 2021 he has been working on his most ambitious project yet: the PRISM, a titanic space rock opera. Matteo has just released its second volume – eventually, there will be seven.
Matteo De Longis' illustrations for Octopus are inspired by the aesthetics of Japanese idols and soft hentai manga, which he has combined with icons of the rock world that he cherishes. The collection also includes garments with Octopus’ classic tentacular graphics, revisited by the artist in an animalier version.
The Octopus IDOL capsule collection includes 4 hoodies, 3 men's and 2 women's T-shirts, a pair of leggings and a tote bag.
