VNGRD is a retrospective about the clothing brand born in Milan in 2005 as the natural creative expression of a group of designers and artists who lived for years at the heart of the city's underground.

Thanks to a naïve, uneducated stance on clothing design and the firm refusal of obeying to any commercial habit of a world that was transitioning from a traditional model to the ultra-connected landscape of today, VNGRD challenged everything and connected many of the people who would go on and become protagonists of the zeitgeist.

Heralded by the creative direction of Giorgio Di Salvo, one of the two co-founders, VNGRD quickly gained a cult status, piling up collaborations with brands like Stüssy, SUPER, FUCT and Slam Jam, being recognized by the likes of Kanye West, and sowing the seeds which gave life to Octopus brand: the tentacles motif was in fact born as a VNGRD design in 2006.

In order to celebrate the special relationship with the brand, Octopus will release an extremely limited run of the original VNGRD Octopus garments, faithful to the original 2006 releases down to every last detail.

 













A remake of the first two colorways of the Octopus hoodie, gray and purple, released for the F/W 2006 collection, plus the first Octopus tee, released for the S/S 2007 collection. Featuring VNGRD branding, all the original details and the original non-industrial screen printing technique.

The VNGRD Octopus (2006 Retro) garments are faithful reproductions of the first 3 garments with Octopus graphics ever, conceived in 2006 by Giorgio Di Salvo.
